The Descendants of John (1856-1935) and Mary (Worcester) Patton I’m seeking information on the children of John and Mary (Worcester) Patton. John was born in Clearfield County, PA. He was a self-taught lawyer, who became one of the most prominent attorneys in Poweshiek County, Iowa where he was elected Mayor of Grinnell in March 1911.
I have very little on the families of their children. Of the six children, I have identified only three spouses. The most information I have is on Edward’s (b 1891) descendants, but all the information I have on the children is sketchy at best.
Any help one can provide on this branch of my family would be greatly appreciated.

Mary Jane (Patton) Lines Family and Unknowns Who are the unknowns? This photo taken in 1907, and likely somewhere in Clearfield County, PA, includes my grandfather and his mother and sister. A few other names are inscribed but I've been unable to connect any of them to the family. They are identified as follows: Back Row Standing (L to R) Mary Jane (Patton) Lines (1859-1943), her son Byron Francis Lines (b 1888); the other three (including "Soffie") are unknown. Front Row Seated (L to R) unknown; unknown (Sylvia); 3rd is Mary's son Harry (b 1881) (my grandfather); and at far right is Mary's daughter Cornelia (b 1893). Note the black clothing worn by Mary Patton and her son Byron (one other photo, taken at the same time, shows Byron wearing a black arm band). The arm band was likely worn in memory of Mary’s father Edward Byron Patton. Edward died in May of 1907. It’s possible this photo was taken around that time, if not the day of his funeral and possibly at Oak Hill Cemetery in Curwensville. That is all I know. I would certainly appreciate any help that can be rendered to identified the unknown individuals seen in this photo. Thank you! ~~ Rick Gleason
